A have a low threshold for human interaction, adventure and busyness, and the combination of birthday preparations, extra-early rising, travel and excited campers was more than I could take. Thankfully, Doug was willing to take the crew on our planned hike: solo.
It was a lovely day and I wish I had felt like going, but it was a good choice to stay put.
