New Year's Eve

Appetizer Dinner is a must for Christmas Eve, and generally it reappears a week later, too, to close out the year.

Josie helped my mom prepare some delicious bacon-wrapped chicken bites and then artfully made her own pepperoni-olive skewers.

Not to be left out, Jonathan artfully stabbed chunks of cheese and a single black olive.

 Shrimp cocktail, cheese ball and crackers, veggie platters and fruit, beer weenies and BBQ cocktail weiners, chips & salsa are all standard fare.  And to top it off?  Ice cream cones (at least for the kids).

The kids were intrigued by a white elephant party Doug and I attended so we had our own gift exchange.  Papa's was the best - a Hello Kitty electric toothbrush.  I am sure it was what he always wanted!
