It was one of those weeks when we all needed to get out and enjoy nature. So we loaded up the crew, stopped by the store for lunch fixin's, and headed to the mountains.
Apparently my role was to photograph all the interesting finds along the way. The constant refrain was, "Mom, take a picture of this!"
That was just fine with me. I brought up the rear with the little ones while Doug and the oldest kids forged ahead.
There was rather unpleasant incident when this little girl got it in her head that she, too, needed a walking stick, and a certain one at that. Stephen tried some very artful bait-and-switch maneuvers, but she was not to be fooled.
The hike caused the kids to work up an appetite so we found a picnicking spot, complete with a view.
There was also a perfect example of why proper punctuation and word layout is important.
Yes, it was just what we all needed.
