Hiking with the short-legged crowd is an interesting experience.
Most the time this was the view in front
and this was behind
and this one alternated between walking and riding on Doug's back.
The last time we were in this area, we studied entomology. This time it was geology with a sprinkling of ornithology.
Matthew found an old bottle along the way and added some fresh picked flowers for our picnic.
It may not have been the fastest hike, but it was a great day to be out-of-doors.
