Despite some of the negative aspects of having a strong-willed child, there are advantages.
And once this boy decides he is going to do something, he does it.
A week ago (with a little coaxing) he took his first "solo" runs (i.e., he needed a little shove to get going).
But today he was determined to do it himself. He mastered starting and steering in no time flat.
Throughout the afternoon he would ask, "Are you proud of me, Mom?"
"Yes, my dear, I am very proud of you."
(And you can bet this face is going up on the Wall of Fame).
