Cleanup by the Numbers

The immediate aftermath of the storm required a stop by one of the many tree services that trolled our neighbor (think flies on honey, attorneys to sirens), and it didn't fail to entertain the members of our household.

We were able to take care of two trees ourselves (okay, a couple of neighbors stopped by with their chainsaws and completed in ten minutes what we had struggled with for two hours).  A few days later dear friends from church descended upon our yard to tackle the rest of the mess.

5 chainsaws and 1 pole saw

2 daredevils

9 children

6 pizzas and 2 boxes of popsicles

1 messy little girl

1 ER visit requiring 1 tetnus shot and 5 stitches

immeasurably grateful

We are still humbled by the power of the hands and feet of Christ at work in our lives.
