Right On, Obama

I firmly believe that TV and tired children are two of the main plagues of nation's schools. In a recent magazine article Obama remarked,
"There's no doubt that Michelle and I have more resources and privileges
compared with a lot of parents. We understand that but I don't care how
poor you are - you can turn off the television set during the week."

Instead of allowing their children to dull their minds with the garbage on the tube, the girls do their homework and then are allowed to read until a reasonable bedtime (9:00 for an 11-year old and 8:30 for the 8-year old).

A simple solution to the widespread problem.

  1. For the first time, I applaud and commend Pres. Obama for his sensible suggestion.
