Survival Mode

We survived.

That's about all I can say about my first week alone with "the boys." Crumbs. Clutter. Crying. Chaos.

In between pumping & feeding, changing someone's diaper, refilling a cup, and preparing & cleaning up after meals, we managed a math lesson or two and supplemented with various ocean books for the week (Andrew's choice) which lead to the following dinner conversation:

Andrew: Did you know we are related to sea spores?

Doug: I'm not related to a sea spore.

Andrew: Well, Dad, you know, I read it in a book.

This thread continued for a while before Doug took note of the miniscule amount of dressing on his salad.
Julie: Well, it was all we had. Besides, it doesn't need to be swimming in dressing anyway. Fish swim, not lettuce.

Andrew: Well, actually there is a sea lettuce and a sea cucumber.
So, there you have it folks: you can catch a salad, but beware, you may be eating a relative.
