Jesus Loves Me

As I rocked and sang to Matthew tonight, I was touched by the poignancy of these words.

Jesus loves me! This I know,

For the Bible tells me so;

Little ones to Him belong,

They are weak but He is strong.

My friend (and recipient of the neat burp cloths) gave birth to a daughter today.

Jesus loves me! loves me still,

Though I'm very weak and ill;

From His shining throne on high,

Comes to watch me where I lie.

A friend successfully came through surgery for cancer and is recouperating.

Jesus loves me! He will stay,

Close beside me all the way;

If I love Him when I die,

He will take me home on high.

A brother in Christ waits to leave the pain of this world behind and finally be perfected with His Saviour.

Yes, Jesus loves me!

Yes, Jesus loves me!

Yes, Jesus loves me!

The Bible tells me so.
