There was a bit of dampness thrown over this years celebrations. To say the least.
Never has our yard been so green in July...and we haven't had to water once.
We took advantage of a small break in downpours to set off fireworks as duty requires.
While we waited for just the right amount of darkness, the kids caught lightning bugs and acted like stir-crazy maniacs in the front yard.
And as for the Fourth itself?
Doug's patriotic pancake courtesy of Stephen was the highlight of the day.
It doesn't get much more exciting than that folks.
